In our English lesson, we, the 3 AFW, did a project on international food where we presented different traditional food of our home countries. Some teachers were invited to taste our food. They were delighted. Read some comments on it below:
Our favourite food is „Pite“ which is a dough dish with a meat-leek filling it is typical Albanian food. (Esra and Liri).
A popular drink in Turkish culture is „Cay“ (Black Tea). We drink it for breakfast with family and friends and also in the evening. A traditional Turkish meal is „Pogaca“ (Bread filled with cheese, potatoes or meat). We ate it yesterday and it was delicious. (Gizem, Acelya, Sila)
Our Arabic Kitchen is very famous for spicy food. For our project we cooked „Schawarma and Qatayef“ and enjoyed it in class. Schawarma is made with chicken breast and a lot of spices. Qatayef is a sweet dish made like a pancake with mascarpone filling. Yummy!!! (Lamis, Manar)
Of course we also drank „Ayran“, a yoghurt drink with salt and water. This is an international drink which tastes best on hot summer days. (Elene)
I contributed a delicious „Marmorkuchen“, a typical Austrian cake. We finished it in no time. (Magdalena)
